If you've seen one financial planner, you've seen them all, right? Not according to Ron Rosselot, who said that going out on his own rather than working for someone else has helped him provide better advice to business owners.
"In my business, a lot of people provide some of the services I provide," said Rosselot, president of The Rosselot Financial Group Inc. "But I felt that when I was working with people who own their own company--and I didn't--that it was like telling someone how to swim, rather than showing them. Now I know what it is to make payroll, to hire and fire people, to buy equipment, to manage cash flow."
Rosselot Financial's annual revenue base has tripled since he started in 1986, taking in about $400,000 during 1991. Employment at the Mount Auburn-based firm has also tripled--from two employees, including himself, to six.
