Antimony prices dropped $200 per tonne on Friday July 13, as material was offered and released in Europe at lower levels corresponding with prices for material for shipment from Asia.
Metal Bulletin low-bismuth antimony prices were $13,100-13,500 per tonne on Friday, while standard grade II prices were $13,000-13,400 per tonne, both down $200 from the previous assessment.
Consumers in Europe have booked cargoes on a shipment basis that will arrive in August, and stockists in Rotterdam are beginning to lower their offers to complete sales ahead of their arrival, sources told Metal Bulletin.
