Wall Data Inc. has introduced client software to let users of the Apple Computer Inc. Macintosh communicate with IBM-compatible mainframes and minicomputers.
Mac RUMBA is client software for the Macintosh that integrates the SNA * ps mainframe gateway technology that Wall Data acquired from Apple last year with the company's RUMBA PC-to-mainframe client software, said Cheryl Marinaro, product sales manager at Wall Data, Kirkland, Wash. There are two versions: Mac RUMBA for the IBM AS/400 Minicomputer and Mac RUMBA for the Mainframe.
