In this month's Certification Desk column "Preparing systems for an XP upgrade," we explored several actions Microsoft recommends you take prior to upgrading an earlier Windows system to Windows XP. However, if you haven't yet reached the stage where you're ready to begin the upgrade process, you may be wondering if an upgrade is even feasible for your users' systems, given their dated hardware and software components. By running the Windows XP Upgrade Advisor, you can determine whether your systems' hardware and software components are compatible with Windows XP Professional.
