METAIRIE, LA. - While Ruth's Chris Steak House has been adulated for its succulent steak and the inspirational leadership of its founder, Ruth Fertel, who opened her first steakhouse in 1965, the chain also has made waves with its information technology strategies under the leadership of Keith Webb.
Since joining Ruth's Chris in the summer of 2001 and in his current role as vice president of administration, Webb has improved store and above-store systems significantly. One way he has accompushed that is through leveraging a Web-based Great Plains Dynamics database to provide the restaurants with a cost analysis tool, according to the company, which has a system of 89 fine-dining restaurants.
