San Diego-Pacific Carmel Mountain Holdings LP, an affiliate of the locally based real estate investment firm America Assets, Inc., has purchased Carmel Mountain Plaza, a 532,418-sf mixed-use shopping center for $95 million. The asset, located at 11610-122174 Carmel Mountain Rd. just off the I-15, is anchored by Sportmart, Pacific Theatres, Circuit City, Marshall's, Pier 1 Imports and Barnes & Noble. Wells Fargo Bank provided financing for the complex 45-day transaction, and Flocke & Avoyer assisted in the analysis of the acquisition and is handling leasing. Secured Capital and Burnham Real Estate Services brokers represented the seller, a joint venture with New York-based Community DRA Advisors LLC acting on behalf of a group of institutional investors and Cleveland-based Diversified Realty. American Assets represented itself in the transaction.
