Residents and visitors alike first think of the beach cities - Newport, Laguna, Huntington - when considering the local nightlife. But they are overlooking an unexpected gem in Santa Ana. Those in the know come to the downtown of Orange County for eclectic choices in dining and entertainment.
The OC Pavilion offers patrons dinner and theater in one location. The owner, Mike Harrah, converted a former Bank of America building into a luxurious entertainment venue. The original bank vault door serves as the entry to The Vault VIP Lounge, where patrons can listen to live jazz while enjoying a drink from the full bar. The main floor features the theater, an intimate setting with lavish touches such as extra wide rows, leather chairs, VIP booths and private-commissioned "Wind Gods" murals.
