Financial electronic data interchange (FEDI) software and customer support turned once small Servantis Systems Inc. into a major into a major player. Only a 12-employee company 24 years ago, Norcross, Ga.-based Servantis, formerly known as Stockholder Systems Inc., had annual revenues last year of $64 million and 500 employees designing, marketing and supporting financial software for a broad range of corporations and financial institutions. Among its customers are banks, savings and loan companies, manufacturers, insurers and utilities, which need the company's services to perform quick processing....Stick With What You Know Servantis has kept its business close to its roots deliberately, says Claire Healey, senior vice president. "If you are our customer, then we will supply the EDI you need," Healey said. EDI is a key part of that core business and can speed up the business process, according to Healey (EDI News, February Special Report, p. 16). Its latest FEDI products involve new lines of mortgage processing and credit EDI packages.
The EDI transaction sets being used in the new products are based on its main product, QuikCredit, a software module that is designed to integrate the X12 standard with its mortgage origination products, the DOS-based TMO and the Windows-based Servantis Express.
