Welcome to our home dubbed the Full Metal Jacket. I'm not sure if the name is because of the appearance or because it has one-foot thick cement walls and ceilings, which serve as protection from enemy mortar fire.
When we first started working on our area, there was no electricity or doors. We corrected this first and now we even have framed up individual 8 x 9-foot rooms. The whole project has been one big scavenger hunt. To make the studs for the rooms we started disassembling the greenhouse here at the Agricultural College and for window coverings we cut apart cots.
The next mission is to find plywood to actually make walls. A flag that flew over the Capitol on Veterans Day, given to us by Rep....
