What's behind the doors of Latin America's luxurious presidential hotel suites.
Celebrities, executives and politicians spend a great deal of time jetting from one part of the planet to another as part of their day-to-day lives. And when they arrive at their destinations, many of them head for the most luxurious suites available, where the comforts are many and the rates, of course, are sky high. LATIN TRADE toured some of the most exclusive presidential suites in São PauTo, Mexico City and Buenos Aires, where amenities included, among many, an extra-long bed designed for an NBA star, bulletproof glass, private saunas and "intelligent" "bathtubs.

Guests of the Renaissance's 25th-floor presidential suite can relax on the terrace garden or in a Jacuzzi while enjoying a view of the Jardins neighborhood from one of the highest spots in São Paulo. The suite also has a massage room, sauna, a dining room that seats eight, a den with a fireplace, a television room and a lull kitchen. The king-sized bed, which measures 2.2 meters by 2.2 meters and is 71 centimeters tall, guarantees a good night's rest after a long day of work or sightseeing. At night, a room attendant turns down the bed and fluffs the pillows selected from the suite's special comfort menu.

On the 27th floor, the Hilton Morumbi's presidential suite has a great view of São Paulo's southern region. The large suite offers a lounge, home theater, office, full kitchen, a dining room with a table crafted in Italy, bar, and a bedroom with a sitting area. In the bathroom, guests can watch television while relaxing in the Jacuzzi, Table linens are imported from France.
