Atlantis, the newly expanded resort in the Bahamas, gives new meaning to "swimming with the sharks."
At one of the resort's unique water attractions, appropriately called the "Leap of Faith" slide, riders whiz down 60 feet, popping out in an acrylic tube that takes them through a shark-filled lagoon. Another slide, the "Serpent," takes riders on a trip through watery darkness, ejecting them into the same shark-filled pool.
The two attractions are part of Atlantis, a $480-million expansion of an existing resort in Paradise Island, Bahamas. Atlantis plays off the legend of the lost civilization, buried beneath the ocean...
