Shorty Small's of Oklahoma City has closed two of its eight restaurants, including its lone Conway location, after filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy reorganization in May.
The barbecue and burger chain's president and CEO, Paul Kreth, said in a telephone interview last week that there were no plans to close any other restaurants. Company expansion should resume early in 2012.
In Arkansas, Shorty Small's still has restaurants in Jonesboro, North Little Rock and Little Rock. Through June, the North Little Rock Shorty Small's reported bringing in $585,333 in taxable food sales,...
