The 11th semi-annual San Francisco International Gift Fair, the West Coast's premier gift and decorative accessories market will expand the exhibit space of four of its special sections within the Moscone Center this summer. At Home, located in Moscone Center North, will expand in exhibit space by an anticipated 35 percent; New & Distinctive Resources will expand into Moscone South's Gateway Ballroom by approximately 25 percent; Just Kidstuff-West will return to Moscone Center South with a 10 percent increase in exhibit space from last summer; and The Jewelry Vault will move to the Esplanade Ballroom in Moscone Center South, where it will expand by 10 percent.
Additionally, the SFIGF will be offering retailers a strong program of educational seminars, including an all-day business program and four theme days covering cutting-edge industry topics. Once again the Uniquely San Francisco Retail Tour will offer buyers a look at some of the city's hottest retail stores.

Opening Night Reception Saturday, August 1, 1998 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. Esplanade Lobby
"Opening Night Party to Benefit Gift For Life" Celebrate the opening day of the Fair, and help raise money for a good cause! A complimentary reception will be held on-site at the Moscone Center. Join exhibitors and attendees for light hors d'oeuvres, music and a cash bar, and take part in a raffle to raise funds for Gift For Life, a division of the American Foundation for AIDS Research (AMFAR).
"Uniquely San Francisco" Retail Tour Saturday, August 1, 1998 12:30 - 4:30 P.M.
Check inn at Moscone Center North Lobby -- San Francisco's got em' -- new and exciting gift stores that can only be found in the city by the bay. Retailers will have the perfect opportunity to see what's selling, what's new in visual presentation, and what makes San Francisco so special. Tickets are $25/pre-registration/$30 on-site and include refreshments. Please note: Seating is limited.
