Rinol-Silidur has the world at its feet
Established in Belgium in 1973, Silidur was the first company, during the late 1970s, to introduce steel fibres in concrete floors on an industrial scale. In 1983, using Conductil, it became the first company to achieve a steel-fibre-reinforced concrete ground floor slab with no sawn joints and eight years later the first to achieve a steel-fibre-reinforced concrete floor slab on piles with no traditional reinforcement. In 1996, the Silidur Group opened Silidur (UK) Ltd (now renamed Rinol (UK) Ltd) which quickly built a reputation as a specialist in the design and installation of 'joint-free' concrete floors reinforced with steel fibres, on grade and on piles. The company also gained an excellent reputation for the high quality of its work and its complete design-build-insure (DBI) concept. In 1998, a branch was opened in Ireland and this has recently been re-named Rinol (Ireland) Ltd following the 2001 acquisition of Silidur by the Rinol Group, headquartered in Germany.
Now in its 50th year and listed on the Frankfurt stock market, Rinol is the largest European flooring specialist, and the only company to provide a complete flooring package from just one source.
