The $40 million Six Flags Hurricane Harbor, now under construction in Jackson, NJ., is set to premier in May in one of the most under-served waterpark markets in the U.S.
The 45-acre park is being built adjacent to Six Flags Great Adventure theme park and will be a separate, ticketed gate. Also adjacent is Six Flags Safari park, a drive through animal adventure.
"This is a huge expansion in terms of the overall scope of the waterpark project," said Kieran Burke, CEO of Premier Parks. "It clearly elevates the Six Flags Great Adventure area into a new category as a destination with multiple park properties." There will be more than 200 rides and attractions among the three parks, Burke noted.
