IRVINE, CALIF. - Broadcom Corp. has combined its low-- power CMOS transceiver technology with digital functions previously implemented in a million-plus digital logic gate ASIC to produce a system-- on-chip containing all of the electronics required for a Sonet OC-48 (2.5 Gbit/second) line card.
