Sony has always had a penchant for making electronics smaller, and the DCR-TRV8 is no exception. It is small, sleek and smartly designed (with one notable exception). Even though this unit weighs less than 1.5 pounds and is only slightly bigger than Sharp's PD3U, Sony has managed to pack a 3.5-inch LCD screen into it, with brightness and playback volume controls on the screen. VCR navigation controls are inside the LCD when closed.
Although it's small, the TRV8 has terrific picture...
