Southmead Hospital, Bristol recently celebrated the arrival two Toshiba Aplio 400 ultrasound scanners for the obstetric ultrasound department and antenatal clinic. The new systems, launched last autumn, joined five existing Toshiba Xario and Xario XG machines already in the department. Kath Henson, lead sonographer comments: "The systems were installed swiftly, Toshiba's flexible approach enabled the department to continue with its workloads while they worked to install and reconnect all existing equipment. The technical support from Toshiba has been fantastic, with scheduled training days and impromptu visits just to check that the systems were running smoothly." The new systems come with Toshiba's latest innovations, including 4D and STIC imaging. A comprehensive 3D/4D volume imaging suite extends the diagnostic capabilities by providing accurate renderings and arbitrary volume cuts in real-time or offline. Aplio's new high density volume rendering engine provides extraordinary image quality at high volume rates with uncompromised workflow and clinical result.
