The Hawaiian Collectors Association unites its members through education and legislative outreach
The Hawaiian Collectors Association formed in the late 1940s and joined ACA International in 1951 under the leadership of HCA President Joe Zasimovitch.
Thanks to Hawaii's gorgeous landscape and engaging members, several ACA meetings have been held there over the years, including the 2012 Committee of 100 meeting and five annual conventions.
Each year, HCA members meet in person twice and hold two conference calls. Additionally, the unit hosts a weekend of ACA educational seminars at the beginning of each year.
HCA meetings are primarily attended by the unit officers and are held in Honolulu.
"We are a small unit so our meetings are pretty informal," said President Kevin Shiinoki. "We try to get other unit members involved, but if they are on neighbor islands it can be tough for them to set aside time and money...
