On The Tonight Show this coming Monday (February 17), Jay Leno will borrow the shtick of former Tonight second-banana Ed McMahon and exclaim HERE'S - - - - - - -! in announcing Sports Illustrated's 2003 "Swimsuit" cover in advance of the February 19 release. Till then, the successor to 2002 cover Yamila Diaz-Rahi is being kept, pardon the pun, "under wraps," as this SI tradition--begun in 1964 as "filler" between the football and baseball seasons--is a 4.5 million rate-base (3.15 million is the norm)/ $5.99 single-copy ($3.50 is the norm) powerhouse. The "measurement" SI publisher (since 1999) Fabio Freyre will disclose in advance is advertising, with the issue's 115 ad pages the most since anniversary #25 in 1989 (and a record $34 million ad revenues).
