Abstract

Quark, perhaps chastened by the aggressive advance of Adobe's InDesign layout program and its own missteps in the journey to the MAC OSX platform, seems to have heard the market speak loud and clear. Its answer: XPress v.6.5. Advantage Quark can be seen in some of 6.5's inventive new capabilities. Particularly compelling is a rethinking of its design program to gear it more for multi-platform publishing -- both multiple print programs and online applications. QuarkXPress 6.5 supports Citrix deployment, increasingly popular since it allows applications to be run from a server rather than installed or updated on individual computers.
