SGS-Thomson Microelectronics Inc. has introduced two high-density devices to its Zeropower family of nonvolatile SRAMs. The M48Z2M1Y and the M48Z512A/Y contain very low-power CMOS SRAMs, power-fail control circuitry, and lithium batteries. The devices are housed in single 600-mil PDIPs with the standard JEDEC SRAM pin assignment.
