Do you believe that Microsoft has a long-term commitment to selling accounting software through Value-added Resellers?
Based on our experience, they do. The account management structure is a little thin, so I have not had much contact on leads or support from a sales standpoint, but tech support is very solid, as are the products. Costs to enter have been lowered to make it more attractive to VARs, but at the same time, that may make some people enter and affect the reputation negatively that are unable to deliver effective consulting or complete solutions.

For the small to mid-market business, the simple answer is "Yes," however they seem to be signaling their intent to sell direct to larger organizations. Will they bring in a MBS partner or go it alone by utilizing their services group for the implementation, customization, and training services? It is a concern.
