Local suppliers of food and fuel are delighted by the planned arrival of Seattle's first scheduled, full-size cruise ship, the Norwegian Sky, this Sunday.
"It's a great opportunity, we're excited," said Paul Gould, sales manager for food services for Ocean Beauty Seafoods Inc. in Seattle.
His company plans to deliver 800 pounds of salmon to the Port of Seattle's Pier 66 cruise terminal on Sunday, and a like amount each week until September. The salmon is part of a $40,300 contract Ocean Beauty won from Norwegian Cruise Lines for this season.
