Surgeons combine to form Excelsior Orthopaedics

Two groups of orthopedic surgeons have combined their practices with the expectation of adding other muscular-skeletal specialists who will help them provide a range of care options.

Excelsior Orthopaedics LLP was created through the merger of Amherst-Tonawanda Orthopaedics and Western New York Orthopaedics. The practice consists of 10 surgeons with one more joining in January. They expect to eventually add practitioners in podiatry, chiropractic and related areas, said Mary Ellen Luff, executive director.
