NORWOOD, Mass.--Telco Systems Inc. has undertaken a new strategic direction in order to take advantage of changes in the growing telecommunications equipment market. In the past, the company sold equipment for the core telecommunications network as well as devices for connecting customers at the network edge. In February 1995 the company added president and COO William Smith to its management team, and in May 1995 Anand Parikh, vice president of marketing and business development, was hired. The new team has made a strategic reassessment, and the new approach will emphasize creating products for HiCap links, wireless access, digital loop carriers, and LAN interconnection.
