Don Schempp, a longtime North County banker and the former chief executive officer of Capital Bank of North County, has joined Temecula Valley Bank as an executive vice president.
"Don is our North County regional manager, and he'll be opening a Carlsbad office soon," said Steve Wacknitz, the chief executive officer for Temecula Valley, which grew its assets by 41 percent last year and shows no signs of slowing.
Temecula Valley also hired Jack Brittian, the former chief lending officer at Imperial County-based Valley Independent Bank (which was acquired by Rabobank), as an executive vice president for another new office in Indian Wells.
Right now, Temecula Valley operates loan production offices in both Carlsbad and Indian Wells near Palm Springs but has applied to expand them to full-service offices, Wacknitz said.
