Nashua, N.H. - Under a second-source licensing pact, connector manufacturer AMP Inc. (Harrisburg, Pa.) will serve as a second source for Teradyne Connection Systems' high-density metric (HDM) interconnection family. "This agreement will serve to expand the market for HDM connectors dramatically," according to Teradyne's marketing manager Rick Schneider. Likewise, AMP said that the deal will extend the global reach of leading-edge connector technologies, providing customers around the world with high-density, high-speed interconnection products. Financial details of the agreement were not disclosed.
