Although an array of activities can be found outside of Teton Springs Lodge & Spa (Victor), recovery awaits inside Stillwaters Spa. The 5,000-square-foot facility features seven inviting treatment rooms, including a two-person suite complete with a fireplace. There, guests can experience a variety of custom massage options, such as the Alpine Massage ($130,60 minutes; $170,90 minutes), which relies on warm stones and essential oils. Although not listed on the menu, visceral manipulation (VM) is another option thanks to the special training undergone by a couple of therapists, including Gene Cavagnaro. Developed by French osteopath and physical therapist JeanPierre Barrai, VM is a manual therapy focusing on the internal organs to locate abnormal points of tension throughout the body. According to Cavagnaro, the therapists in the Valley all work together and share personal techniques. "I can only try to recreate what has helped me grow and feel better," he says. "Through deep structural work, we can help people feel good and balanced. We all truly enjoy helping with our own personal strengths and gifts."-H.M.
