PLANO - With a string of new clients, a new headquarters and potential to reach new markets, it's not surprising that Texas Barcode Systems is jetting into its fourth year of business with its largest revenue leap to date.
Texas Barcode has grown from $2.3 million in 1997 to $5.3 million in 1998 to $11.3 million in 1999. The company is expected to exceed $20 million in the upcoming year.
The company made the move to Plano in January after outgrowing its previous facility. The new location includes a training and demonstration center, a warehouse and repair center and sales offices.
David Edwards and David Roy founded the company in 1997 after working more than a decade in the development of software solutions for barcode scanning systems for USDATA, which is now one of their competitors.
