WILMINGTON - A Texas lawsuit marks the second time this year that PPD, a Wilmington-based pharmaceutical services company that employs more than 1,100 in Morrisville, has become embroiled in a legal spat involving its services.
PPD, which last year generated about 90 percent of its revenue from clinical drug development research, has been sued by Introgen Therapeutics, an Austin, Texas-based biotech company. Introgen claims breach of contract and negligence in a lawsuit that was filed March 12 in Travis County, Texas, District Court.
