Timothy BarrettThe Texas Tech University is gearing up for a restructuring of its $900 million long-term investment portfolio with a new CIO, Timothy Barrett, at its helm. A new asset allocation, approved at a board of regents meeting in October, frees hedged strategies from their old standalone bucket to move within the public equity and debt sleeves, raises the private debt target and accounts for a beta overlay program. Implementation is expected to take place over the first half of 2014.
