Dallas - An employee group has bought out Texas Instruments Inc.'s Asset business unit, which has been responsible for its IEEE 1149.1 boundary-scan diagnostic software.
A separate company, Asset InterTech Inc., has been formed, and will be located in Richardson, Texas. The 50 employees involved in the TI unit will be employees of Asset. The employees paid an undisclosed amount for the business, which had sales of about $5 million in 1994.
Glenn Woppman, formerly TI Asset product manager, has been named president and chief executive of Asset InterTech.
