Boulder County entrepreneurs from India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal now can connect.
The Rocky Mountain chapter of The IndUS Entrepreneurs (TiE-Rockies), brings high-tech professionals from those countries together at networking events each month.
And the speakers are impressive. In February, about 175 people heard Sun Microsystems Chief Executive Officer Scott McNealy's candid view about the current economic crisis. The meeting took place at the Adam's Mark Hotel in Denver.
Vipanj Patel started TiE-Rockies. "When I moved here last March, I quickly found out that people from the South Asian subcontinent did not know each other. Some had been here for 10 to 15 years and did not have a chance to exchange ideas on how to develop technology, or compare notes on entrepreneurship," said Patel, managing partner and cofounder of Englewoodbased iSherpa.
