Feb. 3
Ellisville, Mo.-based Meramec Valley Bank, a unit of Valley Bancshares Inc., named David Webb CEO in addition to his current role as president, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported. William Jones Jr., the bank's former CEO, will remain chairman of the board.
Feb. 2
Christopher Perretta will serve as chief information and operations officer of MUFG Americas Holdings Corp. and unit MUFG Union Bank NA, effective April 1. Perretta's career includes serving as global head of enterprise data and technology for State Street Corp.
Wade Balliet, CFA and senior vice president at San Francisco-based Bank of the West, now also serves as chief investment adviser of the BancWest Corp. unit. In his new role, Balliet will lead the bank's investment advisory and management team.
Gary Ortale intends to retire as executive vice president and CFO of MidWestOne Financial Group Inc. effective Aug. 31. Ortale, who has been with the Iowa City, Iowa-based company and unit MidWestOne Bank since 1987, has served in his current position since May 2009.
MidWestOne Financial Group appointed Katie Lorenson to assume the post of senior vice president and CFO upon Ortale's retirement. Lorenson joined MidWestOne Financial Group in May 2015. Currently a vice president of MidWestOne Financial Group, Lorenson has also been senior vice president and CFO of Golden Valley, Minn.-based Central Bank, the company's subsidiary subsequent to the merger with Central Bancshares Inc., since 2011.
Richard Holbrook, chairman and CEO of Boston-based Eastern Bank Corp. and its subsidiary, Eastern Bank, will retire Dec. 31. Upon his retirement, Holbrook will continue to serve on Eastern Bank's board.
