Road Trucks and West Pennine Trucks are proving to be shining lights in Scania's UK dealership network
HIGH STANDARDS AND healthy competition throughout its dealer network go hand in hand for Swedish manufacturer Scania. Each year it holds Dealer Development Agreement (DDA) and Depot of the Year (DotY) evaluations to reward its dealers for achieving set targets, implementing development actions and exceeding certain standards.
Although Scania is keen to stress that no one dealership in the network is better than another, its highest achievers in 2015 were Northern Ireland-based Road Trucks (DDA) and Stoke-on-Trent-based West Pennine Trucks (DotY).
As part of the DDA, Scania evaluates every aspect of a dealership's performance from customer satisfaction to operating standards and workshop quality.
John Marks, MD at Road Trucks, credits the dealership's employees for its 2015 DDA success. "This outstanding performance was brought about by sustained hard work and consistent team effort," he says. "It reflects how at Road Trucks we want to provide the very best service to our customers.
"There is a low staff turnover here and the average employee has been with us for 12 or 13 years. We invest a lot in staff development and never cut our training budgets during the recession."
