Electical safety
What's offered: A single-day seminar titled "Electrical Safety with Emphasis on Arc-flash Hazard Assessment," which will cover a wide range of industry-relevant topics. Attendees will earn up to 8 Professional Development Hours (PDH) for the seminar.

What's covered: Electrical safety, including OSHA and NFPA 70E - 2009 Edition requirements. It addresses the various options and concerns faced by facility engineers, managers and safety personnel when conducting an arc-flash hazard analysis. The seminar also covers overall electrical safety, components of an electrical safety program, electrical hazards, flash hazard analysis and mitigation. Drake A. Drobnick, Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and Occupational Health and Safety Technologist (OHST) will be a guest presenter.
Where and when: The seminar will be held on December 4 and will run from 8:00 A.M. to 5 P.M. with breaks. It will take place at the new Cooper Industrial Technology Center, 3413 North Sam Houston Parkway West, Suite 21 2 A, Houston, Tex. 77086.
Arc flash
What's offered: Training options include on-site, one- or twoday training; open enrollment courses held throughout the country; and an online refresher one hour and 45-minute electrical safety work practices and standards course.
