Thirteen Treasure Valley medical clinics owned by Boise-based Primary Health Inc. have been sold to the care providers who operate them, but will continue to do business as Primary Health Medical Group.
Dr. David Peterman, president of newly formed ownership entity Alliance Medical Group LLC, said no staff changes are planned at the clinics in Boise, Meridian, Nampa and Caldwell.
The acquisition, which took effect June 1, involved 37 employees of Primary Health Medical Group, including physicians, administrative managers, physicians' assistants and nurses, he said. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
It also entailed an investment by St. Luke's Regional Medical Center, which is a minority owner in the new entity, Peterman said.
Primary Health Inc. will continue to operate its insurance business, and will maintain a strong working relationship with the clinics, said CEO Elwood Kleaver.
