It was once again makeovertime for Trema. The system supplier, host of treasury management products Finance KIT and Finance eKIT Dealing, gives its products a facelift every six months. But the launch of Finance KIT v5.0/5.1 and upcoming release of Finance eKIT Dealing v1.3 mark major developments for Trema, and major bonuses for its corporate customers.
The big theme running through the upgrades is an opening up of the systems. For Finance KIT, this manifests itself through a programmable interface, comKIT, which gives other applications access to Finance KIT architecture and features.
Magnus Scherman, project manager with Trema R&D, adds that ASP functionality has been improved: "In 5.1 the system has been significantly enhanced to better support multi-client installations. This means enhancements to areas such as user administration, integrity of static data elements, user environment configuration and so on."
And more platforms are supported, says Scherman: "Finance KIT now also runs on a Windows server -previously it ran on Sun Solaris and HP server - and will soon be available also on an Oracle database - it is now on Sybase and MS SQL server."
In addition, the way FX and interest rate instruments are handled has been enhanced. "Now external libraries can be used for valuation...
