U.S. Bank of Idaho, which opened in Idaho earlier this year, plans to build a headquarters in downtown Coeur d'Alene, says Craig Burkhart, a bank vice president and the bank's Coeur d'Alene-area manager.
The bank also is looking at sites for branches in Post Falls, Hayden, and the north Coeur d'Alene area, Burkhart says. It probably will begin building at least two of those branches next year, he says. The downtown Coeur d'Alene building, which will be the first one constructed by U.S. Bank of Idaho, is to be located on land the bank bought recently at Third Street and Coeur d'Alene Avenue, Burkhart says.
