Palm Desert, Calif -United States Filter Corp. has acquired or is in the process of acquiring a number of companies. These companies include United Utilities Process Equipment Division, Davis Water and Waste Industries, and WaterPro Supplies Corp. Also pending are transactions with Wheelabrator Technologies Inc.
United Utilities PLC manufactures water and wastewater treatment equipment under brands such as Wallace and Tiernan, Envirex and General Filter. This sale follows a decision announced by United Utilities PLC last March of their intention to divest their Process Equipment business.
