The University of Detroit Mercy has partnered with the Massachusetts and Rochester institutes of technology, the U.S. Navy and six corporations to offer a graduate-level degree program in product development engineering.
Courses began last month and are the result of UDM's involvement with the Educational Consortium for Product Development Leadership in the 21st Century. The consortium, launched last July, is made up of six corporate members working to increase global competitiveness: Ford Motor Co., General Motors Corp., IBM Corp., Valeo S.A. (formerly ITT Automotive), Xerox Corp. and Polaroid Corp.
