Abstract

Roseburg, Oregon-based Umpqua Dairy Products Co. makes a full line of dairy products, including a texturally enhanced fat-free milk. But ice cream has been the main growth engine. Umpqua is the No. 1 light ice cream in the state. The company has received annual awards as a Dairy Queen mix supplier, but in 1990 was named the top quality supplier in the nation to the soft-serve ice cream franchise.
