LEADING INTERNET SERVICE Provider Uunet Technologies Inc. is moving beyond its Unix platform and offering its Web hosting service on Windows NT 4.0.
Targeting its business users, the Fairfax-based ISP has opted to host Web sites on Windows NT and Microsoft BackOffice for its value-added benefits, said Paul Hoffmann, manager of business development at Uunet.
"We're taking advantage of the [Windows NT] environment in conjunction with BackOffice," he said. The service includes dedicated Web hosting and database hosting, in addition to development and management tools.
VARs echoed the need for more business tools from ISPs.
