VANTIVE CORP. IS ADDING more functionality to its help desk/customer interaction software products through a series of strategic alliances.
Vantive, based in Santa Clara, Calif., is marketing and reselling Decisive Survey from Decisive Technology Corp., Palo Alto; joined the OEM program of Inference Corp. and its problem-resolution tool; and is reselling the ready-to-use knowledge bases of ServiceWare Inc.
Last month, the company released Vantive Enterprise 5.0, an update to its integrated suite of applications. New features include Vantive FieldService, designed to improve scheduling and dispatching of people and parts; and Vantive Customer, designed to allow customer self-service using the World Wide Web.
