Abstract
Thomas J. Tauke, Verizon's executive vice president-public affairs, policy, and communications, and other Verizon officials said that the company intends to make stand-alone or "naked" DSL available to customers of carriers that rely on unbundled network element platforms (UNE-Ps), as weU as to customers in Verizon's legacy GTE service areas, "relatively soon," but they declined to set a delivery date, given that testing is ongoing. Verizon said it was filing tariffs throughout its legacy Bell Atlantic and NYNEX states to be effective April 18.
