Vietnam Stanley Electric Company Ltd, a joint-venture established according to investment licence 1669/GP dated September 16, 1996 between the Ha Noi Import-Export and Construction Investment Company and three foreign partners namely Stanley Electric Co., Ltd (STJ), Thai Stanley Electric Public Co., Ltd (THS) and Nomura Trading Co., Ltd with total investment capital of US$8 million, specialises in producing some kinds of lamp for automobiles and motorbikes, on July 13, 1998 officially started operation after four months of pilot activities. Stanley has so far set up a number of JVs in the US, China, Thailand, France, Italy and Taiwan.
