The Vincent Storino family has purchased Casino Pier & Waterworks in Seaside Heights, N.J., from owners Patty and Bob Bennett.
The new owners took over immediately following the closing on Jan. 4. No purchase price was given. The park is set to open on Palm Sunday with a new Miler roller coaster in operation.
"I have a lot of mixed feelings about selling," Bob Bennett told AB. "But I feel very fortunate that I have been able to sell to someone who I've known for more than 30 years and to someone who I respect as much as I do the Storinos. They run a very good operation."
Bennett said the pier was not for sale but conversations with Vincent Storino, whose family owns the Jenkinson's Beach Boardwalk & Aquarium in Point Pleasant, N.J., led to the deal.
