Virgin has launched its online financial service, Virginmoney.com, with an pound 8m marketing blitz through Rainey Kelly Campbell Roalfe/Y&R. Media is through Manning Gottlieb Media. Three executions, which break this weekend, feature Eighties celebrities who have slipped from the limelight - Dollar singer David Van Day, Bad Manners' Buster Bloodvessel and Rainbow presenter Geoffrey Hayes - in 'where are they now' situations. Virginmoney.com managing director Paul Pester says: 'They've all fallen from fame and, with hindsight, regret they didn't manage their money better at the time.' Virginmoney, which features products, advice and news on everything from ISAs to online share dealing, is a joint venture between Virgin and Australian financial services giant AMP.
