DEERFIELD, Ill. - Employers and other pharmacy benefit plan sponsors that use Walgreen Co.'s 90-day retail prescription option for their members are cutting their overall prescription drug costs by 2 percent per year, a new study asserts.
The study, which Hewitt Associates conducted earlier this year, tracked prescription drug costs at many of the 26,000 pharmacies nationwide that participate in WaIgreens' Advantage90 program.
